Authoritarianism and the myth of freedom
What is I told you that the idea of freedom was a myth?
The only reason people perceive authoritarianism an wrong is because of the various memes spread throughout our culture that professes the belief that authoritarianism is wrong. The fact of the matter is the vast majority of people throughout all of history lived under an Authoritarian regime. They were none the wider and, for the most part, lived perfectly happy and productive lives.
Every society has an elite. Every society has a group of people at the top who decide what everyone else below them will believe in. The only people who consciously promote liberalism are those who wish to promote one system for another and another elite for another.
The founders of America were an elite displaced from power from the king of England. Ruled over by a powerful empire an entire ocean away, they thought to themselves why not promote a new system where those of us, those who own the vast majority of the property and control the vast amount of the domestic power on this continent are in charge. So they created all kinda of propaganda about the beauty of liberty and the desire for men to be free and they convinced a segment of the Americas that their system of government was tyrannical and unjust. But what did they do once they got into power? Once the power of the crown was displaced and they held the seats which cemented their hegemonic control of the society, they established their own rules and their own laws for the masses to follow.
Taxation without representation? The vast majority of men the early United States couldn't even vote to begin with. Democracy only really became popular after Andrew Jackson led a populist revolt to gain power. What does freedom have to do with anything? No one but the people at the top are actually free, and there will always be someone at the top. Some ling, some advisory board, someone somewhere who decides what the Masses below them will do and what they believe. The promotion of freedom is a fantasy promoted by those who wish power and it's promoted in order to gain power. Because anyone who knows anything knows that men will never be free. We all submit to something, the question is only what that thing we submit to is.
